May 9, 200719 yr Hi Guys, Shift+E opens the cabin door and closes it before I can get in. Happens on all aircraft. Where do I go to correct it and how do I change it. I suspect it must be in the cfg file. rnails
May 9, 200719 yr You're sitting in a refueling area. Move your plane farther away from the fuel pump and your door will stay open. R-
May 9, 200719 yr I've read of this problem before and had it happen to me the other night without remembering the solution/explanation. It's designed this way to make sure that the pilot doesn't stand outside the aircraft while refueling and accidentally start a fire by using his/her cell phone. Can't never be too safe.
May 9, 200719 yr In my case it's my cigarette. :-erks :-erks I can't believe I am fighting allergies and still smoking! :-boomGary

May 10, 200719 yr Hi, As usual AVSIM forums to the rescue. It was the fuel parking spot that caused the problem not the repeat assignment. I ran Norton's System Works and thought that was the solution. Now, am I the only guy that FSX almost never boots up without a system restart. Annoying to say the least. Thanks guys. rnails
May 10, 200719 yr >No, its because you have a 'repeat' function in your>assignments. Make sure the slider is fully left. No, doors open and close normally everywhere else in same plane and the key repeat function hasn't been touched. Was the proximity to the refuel area for me as well.
May 11, 200719 yr Hi: I never knew about the door thing but thanks and also my new computer almost never boot's the first time after FSX if you ever hear anything about it let me know please. Thanks Bill
