January 30, 20224 yr On my system, I have 64 GB @ 5200MHz which is limited to 4000MHz max speed due to BIOS, a friend of mine is to build a new system (similar to mine) and asked me for guidance, unfortunately, I'm not familiar with this and I would appreciate community help to provide him with good advice. He will run his PC only for flight simulation and he is not sure what to choose between these two options. A) 32 GB XPG Lancer RGB DDR5 6000MHz (2x16GB) native speed 6000MHz and current max speed 6000MHz. B) 64 GB XPG Lancer RGB DDR5 6000MHz (4x16GB) native speed 6000MHz and current max speed 4000MHz. He was told that there is an update pending related to the BIOS that will fix the issue with the limit above 32 GB and it will allow native/current speed to be the same. What would be the best option for him, please? Freshly retired after 41 unforgettable years on the Boeing 747. The flying days may be behind me, but the memories never will be. Now I have the privilege of sharing those experiences—and continuing to learn alongside the next generation of pilots—in the Level D simulator. Aviation has a way of keeping us all pilots, no matter how many hours we've logged.
