February 1, 20224 yr Hi, everyone. I can't successfully install the new version of Linda. FSUIPC 7.2.15 is installed and Linda 4.1.0.114 copied to the FSUIPC directory. Everything as it says in the instructions. MSFS loaded, LINDA loaded. No mistakes. Then FSUIPC7.exe started. Configuration Checklist -> Every thing is ok. FSUIPC.ini looked good. But the FSUIPV log file shows errors: LUA Error: E:\FSUIPC_NEU\linda/system/init.lua:165: module 'linda/libs/._lib-msfs-extra' not found: no field package.preload['linda/libs/._lib-msfs-extra']linda/libs/._lib-msfs-extra no file 'E:\FSUIPC_NEU\linda/libs/\_lib-msfs-extra.lua' no file 'E:\FSUIPC_NEU\linda/libs/\_lib-msfs-extra\init.lua' no file 'E:\FSUIPC_NEU\lua\linda/libs/\_lib-msfs-extra.lua' no file 'E:\FSUIPC_NEU\lua\linda/libs/\_lib-msfs-extra\init.lua' no file 'E:\FSUIPC_NEU\lua\linda/libs/\_lib-msfs-extra.dll' no file 'E:\FSUIPC_NEU\lua\loadall.dll' no file 'E:\FSUIPC_NEU\lua\linda/libs/.dll' no file 'E:\FSUIPC_NEU\lua\loadall.dll' VRinsight (FCU/Airbus) does not start. I still have version 4.0.5, which works perfectly. What can be the problem?
February 1, 20224 yr This problem is normally caused by a rouge character. Ensure that your Win10 system is set to Unicode UTF-8. Open Windows Control Panel and select Clock and Region / Region. Click on Administrative tab and tick Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support. If that fails check in the extracted zip file /linda/libs to ensure that file default-msgs-extra.lib file exists. February 1, 20224 yr There are some rogue hidden files that have crept into the build. These must be deleted manually. Turn on hidden files and got to /LINDA/libs and delete all hidden file beginning with a dot. Then restart LINDA. February 2, 20224 yr After double checking the LINDA 4.1.0.114 download I can confirm the presence of rogue hidden files. I have updated the download zip to 4.1.0.114a with the hidden files removed. Before installing first delete the /fsuipc7/linda/libs directory. Apologises for the inconvenience caused.
