May 17, 200719 yr Hi,I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong thread, but I made the mistake of buying a new joystick (throwing the old one away) and upgrading to FSx SP1 all in one go. Now I have a problem, and I don't know if the issue is SP1 or the joystick! IT's a Cyborg Evo Wireless. It's very good except that the hat switch doesn't seem to be set up in FSX. When you go into control panel, it's fine, and I can see the hat switch working, it doesn't change the view in FSX. In the Controls menu, when I look at the assignments there's nothing in there for changing the view, and if I try to add it (say for a "look right (snap)"), it just comes up with "HAT SWITCH" or something like that, it doesn't specify which way I pointed the switch. Then in FSX if I move the hat switch it always goes to the right. So the hat switch is working, it just doesn't seem to be set up right.Hope someone can help!ThanksGary
May 18, 200719 yr Hi - I found this on Seitek's website; hope it manages to help someone out:http://www.saitek.com/uk/supp/topten.htm#5
May 18, 200719 yr Author Did you load the Saitek software? If so, go into the sim and check your control settings making sure that the Joystick is the one your looking at?I say this because if your using pedals too, it normally shows them first. Also check 'sensitivities'.'Calibrate' it and check the lights are working showing the 'hat' working. If that fails also, you have a bum joystick, get a replacement?
