I'm new to Mapbox but I opened an account to play around with the recent LittleNavMap Mapbox feature releases.  I could definately be doing something wrong here but...

I'm running LittleNavMap on a Macbook via LittleNavConnect to my gaming PC.

I created a map in Mapbox and published it.  I go up to SHARE in the top right and I copy the ACCESS TOKEN into MAPBOX TOKEN in LittleNavMap display keys and STYLE URL into the MAPBOX USER STYLE.

I then enter my username in the MAPBOX USERNAME field.

When I select MAPBOX USER I get a blank map in LittleNavMap.  If I select MAPBOX SATTELITE I only get the lower half of the USA and the Carribean.  MAPBOX Outdoors provides a blank map aswell.

I'm mostly interested in MAPBOX USER.  Not sure if I'm missing a step here?

Thansk!

The "Mapbox Username" is exactly you login name to Mapbox. Not the email. Check if you have trailing or leading spaces in the name. For me it's working on Linux and Windows at least.

You only need the access token to use Satellite, Outdoors and the other stock maps. User and style are only required for custom maps.

I'll check with macOS.

I re-entered the keys and am now able to get the Satellite and Outdoors Mapbox full maps bust still nothing with the User maps.  Will keep playing around with it.  Thanks.

The key of the "Mapbox User Style" is hard to find in the mapbox API. I did not find a place to exact this except the map URL.

You can copy the mapbox style URL if you go to https://studio.mapbox.com/ and then copy the style URL in the three-dot menu which is like "mapbox://styles/YOURUSERNAME/USERSTYLENAME

Put USERSTYLENAME in the "Mapbox User Style" field.

Maybe it makes sense for LNM to read this "mapbox://" URL. Have to see how to simplify this.

@albar965

I've put in my token, username and the mabox url but 'mapbox user' does not display my map. The token works because I can see the default mapbox maps from LNP i.e. 'Mapbox Outdoors', 'Mapbox Satellite'. But I can't see my map or any map when I select 'mapbox user.'

I just want to use

mapbox://styles/mapbox/dark-v11

so I created a personal map with this style.

This screenshot shows my personal map from the studio page (i copied and pasted that into LNM but didn't work):

This screenshot is from the styles page (I copied and pasted this into LNM but didn't work):

I've tried both and both do not work.

I'm hoping this is an easy fix.

sorry for this post, I tried to delete it. I found the solution:

I had to click 'Add Mapbox User Map'

Here my Mapbox User Style was entered twice. I removed the duplication and now everything works as expected.

Sorry for the post.

Make sure you click the globe Icon on the main page and choose Mapbox Satellite/Street. 30 minutes of struggle just for that one simple click.

Err. Well ... obviously you have to select the new theme. 🤷‍♂️
You can also select it in the menu "View".

Also better restart LNM after entering the API/key/token to see the new map.
