We start and finish in Cairns on the tropical north east coast of Far North Queensland.  The route proceeds south then west into Atherton Tableland where we will visit a number of small “missing” airstrips and cattle stations.  Please note that Far North Queensland Missing Airfields is a REQUIRED scenery for this trip.

 I plan to fly the route in the Aerosoft DHC-6 Twin Otter in Rex Livery.  Total distance of the route is 294 nm and an aircraft capable of 150 knts cruise and able to land in the outback is preferred, but as always you are free to fly what you like.

  NOTAM: The author of the Far North Queensland Missing Airfields has included a text file "Queensland Airfields.txt" in the package that has useful and interesting information about some of our stops on this trip.  It is worth a read and you might want to keep it handy.  Little NavMap users may want to re-scan their scenery libraries to pick up the missing strips.
