What happened to my Flight Simulator X?

Featured Replies

I did a clean reinstall for SP1and now I have D:Micosoft Gamesall the flightsim folders but no"Flight Simulator X" .Should not it have installed D:Microsoft GamesFlight Simulator XFolders?I just directed it to install to D;Microsoft Games. It is working OK except my FSUIPC4 key won't be accepted for registration.I know way back I did not install properly and FSUIPC would not even install.Pete said it was because of my installation.4.1 did install to my current installation. Just can't register it.Have emailed simmarket. Thanks for any help.Ron

Hi,FSX installer defaults to a path ending with the folder name 'Microsoft Flight Simulator X', typically 'C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator X'. If yu change this to, as in your case, 'D:Microsoft Games', this exactly what you get. No 'Microsoft Flight Simulator X' folder. Pretty logical and makes sense.I'm a little surprised that the FSUIPC registration only works if FSX is installed in a folder called 'Microsoft Flight Simulator X'. So I went over to the FSUIPC forum and found a post, not yet answered by Pete, by rpowers46, on the same topic. I assume it's your post. I recommend that you wait for Pete to respond.Hope you get the FSUIPC issue solved fast!Ulf B :-)
