April 7, 20224 yr I posted this in a dead discussion before I realized what I should be doing. So I can't find an answer to this anywhere, but I'm wondering about approach types (RNAV, RNAV+V, LPV). So in the MSFS database for example, this information is present. But the only way to see it as far as I can tell is from within the sim by specifically using the WT G1000nxi mod which will display the type of RNAV approach. Upon searching procedures for an airport it will list the RNAV approaches and whether they offer vertical guidance (LNAV+V, LPV). As far as I am aware, no other GPS available in the sim will show this information. Further to this, I don't see the information offered anywhere in Little Navmap. I would think that Little Navmap could display this information after importing the sim database? I know the normal way to do this is by looking at the airport chart. But often lacking a chart and given I usually fly without this specific GPS mod, I don't see any other way to determine whether an RNAV approach will offer vertical guidance. Is there some way to find this information currently in Little Navmap? Or am I left to guess when lacking the chart?
April 7, 20224 yr This will come with next next LNM version. Partially already in the alpha version (see pinned post). Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap

April 7, 20224 yr I'm showing the glidepaths like ILS feathers in the 2.7 alpha. Not sure if this really makes sense and the naming (RNP, etc.) might change. These make only sense in combination with an approach, of course. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap

Not sure if that's because they're not fully implemented in this version or because I'm missing relevant database info or what, but anyway. I think I like the feathers. I'd like to be able to see the approach performance in the Procedure tab in the search window as well. I think it would be really nice to use as you're scrolling through procedure options for a selected airport. It could just be added to the description like "Approach RNAV-30 LPV". Or there could be a new category called "Performance" where the information could be listed. The feathers are nice, it provides a graphical way to select an RNAV approach and bring up it's information or quickly add it to the plan. Edited April 7, 20224 yr by happydappyman readability
