April 14, 20224 yr Hello. I'm a relatively new user of little navmap and I ran into a problem. I searched the manual for this but I couldn't find anything. Is there a way to specify how accurate flightplan information is? For example every heading is round up to 1 degree, but I am in need of headings accurate down to 0.5 degres.

Misclicked enter on accident 😅 Anyways, is there a way to change that and see more accurate information?
April 14, 20224 yr Errr ... sorry, no. No FMS, GPS, MCDU gives more than one degree accuracy. Keep in mind that there are a lot of factors reducing accuracy when calculating courses. Great circle lines have a different start and end course, wind, magnetic declination is different, VORs have old calibration and much more "fun" stuff. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap

Gps or fms might not be giving that accuracy, but I'm one of those weirdos that flies old planes with oldschool navigation systems. One such navigation system allows me to specify courses down to 0.5° and distances down to 0.01km. 6 hours ago, albar965 said: Great circle lines have a different start and end course, That's why I'm not using great circle distance. Every other route planner I know gives you great circle distance. The reason I got little navmap in the first place is rhumb line calculator instead of great circle in older versions. I'm still running version 2.4.5 of the program as I couldn't find this feature in the newer versions. Either way, is there at least a way to get more accuracy out of distances, like 25,46km instead of just 25?

Same for VOR radials. Get close to a pole and you'll end up in a spiral with a rhumb. I actually was wrong to add this at all in the beginning. 5 hours ago, Lovcio said: Either way, is there at least a way to get more accuracy out of distances, like 25,46km instead of just 25? Smaller distances below 20 NM already get 1/10th accuracy. More does not make sense. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap

And I am very happy you added that feature at some point. If it wasn't for that now I'd be forced to rely on all those boring vor or gps based navigation systems. If I may ask, which version removed rhumb lines? I couldn't find that anywhere on github.

Everything before should have rhumb measurement lines. Maybe I can add the rhumb measurement lines again in the "More" submenu but not the display in flight plan and other places. But for now there is too much other stuff to do, sorry. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
