AITP-X (time patch for AI) doesn't work with SP1

Featured Replies

AITP-X is a time patch for FSX (and previously FS9) that allows AI to 'live' longer while waiting for departure or doing go-arounds. It basically stops the AI from going 'poof' and disappearing in front of your eyes. It's a fantastic piece of software authored by Andy Jarvis over at JBAI and its availble as a download on Avsim. Coupled with AI Advanced Air blast Sounds Ver 2 by Alan Constable it brings the airport AI alive...and keeps it alive! Unfortunately it doesn't work with SP1 and the boys at JBAI have acknowledged this on their forums at www.jbai-aircraft.com/forum. " This is because Microsoft have changed the location of the AI timeout parameters that AITP-X latches on to".The problem is that if you try to load AITP-X with SP1, FSX will crash and at the very least a repair will be required (I got away with that rather than doing a complete install and activation).JBAI are working on a solution but I thought I'd post this to help lessen any unnecessary crashes and re-activations by potentially affected simmers. No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea.

Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower!
