Steering issues in SU9

Featured Replies

This has happened several times now, where ground steering stops working. Sometimes it works at the beginning of a flight but doesn't work after I land. Other times it never works from the beginning.

This has happened in both the Maddog and the JF 146 so far. When it stops working, the rudder pedals and tiller turn as expected, but the nose wheel does not.

In experimenting I can taxi to the runway with steering working properly, fly the pattern without altering anything in the cockpit, land, and the steering is gone.

I do have the nose wheel axis set, but whether I set it to the same axis as the rudder, or a different one has no effect on the problem. Before I start bothering Asobo, I wonder if anyone else has encountered this?

Update: this is definitely not something I'm doing wrong in the cockpit. Did another test run in the JF 146. Taxid to the hold short line, steering was fine. Stopped to get takeoff clearance, and when I started again, steering was gone. Am I really the only one this is happening to? If so I'll start deep diving control assignments but I have no idea what command turns off nose wheel steering in planes that don't allow the pilot to turn it off.

Same issue after su9.

The f18 sometimes won't steer.

The f8 never steers.

I hope they fix this soon.
