Help....finding Thumbnail file?

Featured Replies

I remember a utility that we could download here on AVSIM that allowed you to take a snapshot of the plane in FSX that you wanted a "thumbnail" for, and it worked great. I cannot seem to find that download anywhere. My Carenado Cherokee is without thumbnails, and I would like to use that great program. Please help if you know of it. Stan

I don't know about that program but its pretty easy to to take your own screen shot, then jsut crop it to 128x256 in a photo editor. You can download Gimp from downlaod.com, which is like photoshop only free.If anyone else is interested the site below has nice thumbnails for all the FS2004 default aircraft. I moved the Vega, Jenny, Tri-Motor and Comet.

Search for Autothumbnail in the avsim library. Also, the Carenado Cherokee has an aircraft specific fsx update that includes thumbnails which you can download from their site if you bought it there, or if from flight1, redownload the updated flight1 wrapper and reinstall. Not sure about simmarket, though.I recommend you get that update simply for the improvements in gauge smoothness.
