May 24, 20224 yr hello, i have LINDA v3.3.4 installed, and i use P3Dv5.3 on a Windows 11 system. whatever i try, i can't get the Vrinsight MCP to work. when i scan with the program 'vrinsight.exe' it tells me that the device i found on COM3, and during the scan, i see movement on the MCP, and the lights lit up for a second witch tell me that the MCP is installed correct. however, when i start P3D, nothing happend. i see no error message in LINDA, and the com3 is selected, and offcourse MCP is enabled. i try to downgrade to version 3_2_6_1111, but no results. i try the UTF-8 trick as mentioned in this forum, but no results. what seems to be the problem? i do see errors in the Logfile, but i dont know what that means. ********* FSUIPC6, Version 6.1.9 (19th May 2022) by Pete & John Dowson ********* Prepar3D.exe version = 5.3.17.28160 Running inside Prepar3D v5 Module base=7FFA11C50000 Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit reported as Build 22621, Release ID: 2009 (OS 10.0) Reading options from "E:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5 Addons\FSUIPC6\FSUIPC6.ini" Checking the Registrations now ... May 24, 20224 yr Hi Alex You appear to have identified at least 2 of your problems. The first is that FSUIPC6 is not finding/opening the comport (line 266) and that LINDA is unable to open the config-vri.lua file due to the UTF-8 issue (lines 68422 and 83922). The first could be caused by other software (eg. VRSim.EXE) running. I am not sure what to suggest. It is unusual to have 4 comports defined in fsuipc6.ini. It may worth edit the file to remove the extra ones from the [vrinsight] block. The second problem has been reported with WIN11 by at least one other user. I can not often an answer if you have already followed the thread on this topic. Sorry to be so negative but I have answers for you. From my long experience downgrading or reinstalling software rarely offers a solution.
