Dell Alienware QD-OLED 34" Monitor

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I'm seriously thinking of buying this monitor.

Just wondering whether anybody on this forum owns one and if so, is it worth paying the money?

Thanks

I don't own that one, but it's a premium monitor at a premium price. You are paying for the QD-OLED tech.
It's going to blow most other monitors away because of the higher contrast, especially if you do a lot of night flying.

I know because I have played MSFS on high contrast TV's and projectors and it looks way better, but it's too fatiguing for me to play away from my desk area, so I went back to a regular monitor. My understanding is the main difference is its a lot brighter than a typical OLED, assuming it still maintains the near infinite contrast of OLED.

I cannot think of any reason not to buy this monitor, unless you just have doubts about spending the extra cash or being a somewhat early-adopter.

I don't think you'll find a better monitor than this one though, not in this exact high-end gaming spec with OLED under $1500 anyhow.
The other option would be a TV, but they aren't curved.
