About AI

Hi Guys, i do not have FSX yet, i still play FS9 with a hord load of addons. my question is, FS9 has horrible AI, Aircraft land on one another, they pushback into each other, taxi slow, hold short for EVER (lol, this really drives me crazy, if there is an aircraft taking off, waiting to take off, or on approuch, no one on the taxiway moves..) and alot more. how much better is the FSX AI, are the AIRPORTS better, do the gates actually pull up to the AI as they do with the players aircraft, i dont know, if you could tell me the good things about the AI, that would be great, thanks'

My answer is that while the models have improved, the AI behavior is very similar.Yes, the jetways hookup to AI A/C, and the ground traffic is realistic. The ATC is still a mixed bag. Picking runways to organizing ground traffic to approach landing is sometimes interesting. AISmooth works with FSX to cleanup a number of approach issues. ATC seemingly has no clue on vertical or horizontal separation, and doesn't know about the various approach rules. The rapid fire frequency change requests has not gone away either.Still, better than nothing. For the best, and most realistic experience, VATSIM or IVAO are the only choice. RadarContact may be of help relating to ATC, but I don't know if it's aware of AI traffic.Etienne

Yes, rapid fire frequency changes are very annoying, i was hoping they fixed that, oh well, thanks
