August 20, 20223 yr Hello, Some people are often asking how to bind the push to talk key, set in Altitude, to their joystick. You cannot still assign a button directly in Altitude settings for MSFS, but only a key on your keyboard. I am a new user of Spad.neXt and, despite the excellent videos of Les O'Reilly (many thanks to him), and because I did not want to use vJoy interface as showned in these videos, I spent some hours to find a extremely simple solution to map correctly my Honeycomb Alpha Yoke (but it will work with any devices). I thought then it would be useful for other people, so I post it here (as on IVAO's forum). Follow these steps : - In Spad.neXt UI, select the joystick button you want to map. Make sure that this is a "normal pushbutton" (in device settings, by default on alpha version). - Select "add event" - Then, "add action"/"keyboard" (no need to add a condition here). - Select "press key" (and no "press and release" this is counter intuitive...) - Click "assign", enter the key you want to : I choose the RCTRL key, because I am sure there is no interference with other keyboard bindings in MSFS (this key is always used in combination with another one). Then, click "assign" again. - Don't change the other parameters (like "active window"). -Press OK Repeat the same procedure for this joystick button : - "Add event" - "Add action"/"Keyboard" - This time, select "release key" - Assign the same key of your keyboard (RCTRL for example) - Press OK. - Finally, don't forget to save your new config. - Launch MSFS so that you may establish the connection with Altitude. - Load Altitude and, in the Settings menu, assign and apply the PTT key of your keyboard (RCTRL in my case). You're done ! Good flights on IVAO, Daniel.
