July 9, 200718 yr okay, just got FSX loaded a couple days ago. WOW. I have been reading a lot of post about MS FSX and for the hard core maybe it did not meet all expectations and MS could do things better but I have to say its pretty stunning. Yes, It could take a super computer to run but I aint complaining.... with that said I have a silly question.....1) When in 2-d cockpit view in FS9 I could press Shift+Enter to look over the cockpit ... How come that does not work in FSX, I am unable to move my point of view in the 2-D mode.TIA.CD
July 10, 200718 yr TIA,The quick answer is Control-Q which TILTS the view for you. Press both and HOLD. New sim, new features.Shift-Enter does still lift the viewpoint, but what you might not notice except on the ground is that the 2D panel lifts with the viewpoint so nothing appears to change... at least not the way you expected it to.This is because the 2D view is really a VC view (so Shift-Enter works exactly like it does in the "VC"). The fixed side views from the 2D mode have been replaced by the VC side views. We've 'lost' a few familiar things but gained more than we've lost - most of us think. There is a learning curve; most of the new stuff can be found in the learning center but there are some quirks you'd only find accidently (or here).Welcome to the forums. If we must have an obsession, this is one of the best to have...Loyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: FSX Acceleration on Win7/64, Core Duo E8400; GA-EP45-DS3R; GTX 460-768MB; 4G RAM; Freezer 7 Pro
