Mysterious disappearance of red text at bottom of screen

Featured Replies

Can anyone help? The red brakes, overspeed and stall text displays have disappeared. I have looked at the fsx.cfg file and the relevant definitions are still set to "true".Thus:InfoBrakesEnable=TrueInfoParkingBrakesEnable=TrueInfoStallEnable=TrueInfoOverspeedEnable=TrueI am not aware of me having done anything to cause this problem. A repair of FSX failed to cure the problem. CheersCliff Hargrave :-(

Are those back after you remove the FSX.cfg and let FSX build a new one ?

Cheers

>Are those back after you remove the FSX.cfg and let FSX build>a new one ?>>Hi Mark,Many thanks for your advice.I renamed the fsx.cfg and allowed FSX to rebuild a new one. I GOT MY BRAKE DISPLAY BACK YIPPEE. Someone else also suggested changing the resolution in fsx. So I then reverted back to the old fsx.cfg and changed the resolution and that worked. I then changed the resolution back to match the XP setting and the brake display still worked.Dunno why I have had this problem but I am relieved that I will know that I have got the parking brake on. Again, many thanks for your extremely useful help.CheersCliff:-) :-) :-) :-)
