July 14, 200718 yr Hi all, I am about to unistall everything FS9, FSX the lot and re-install windows, too many missing files and clutter so decided to start fresh. Can any one tell me where the keystroke assignments file is kept within both FS9 and FSX don't really want to have to re-assign every single control again, took long enough first time around. :-)
July 14, 200718 yr hithats all in the FSx.cfg (for FSX)file,i would save that to a CD and the cut and paste the relevant part, once you have reinstalled.i've done that before so i know it works.. cheers steve
July 14, 200718 yr Hi Steve, Thanks for that, I'll copy and paste both cfg's to my external hard drive and put it back on re-install. Ah well here we go, see you on the other side!!!!!!!!! Dave:-hmmm
July 14, 200718 yr HiI think you'll find the key stroke assigns are not in the cfg file for FSX. They are kept in a different folder under FSX in Docs & Settings, Application Data. Its called Controls and is yet another xml file.Bud
