November 18, 20223 yr I've always had joystick button 34 on my Bravo Throttle Quadrant assigned to "Set Parking Brake." This allowed me to use the leftmost rocker switch to set/release the brake. It seems like my problem started after SU11. Now, the switch does nothing. I can see on-screen that the parking brake is set. If I try to release it with the mouse, it clicks and moves a bit, but remains set. This happens regardless of the position of the rocker switch. Any ideas on this?
November 18, 20223 yr What happens if you unassign the parking brake from the Bravo buttons? does the mouse then operate the parking brake properly? If so, the problem might be with the switch. Since they are continuous, you cannot use the mouse (or other device) to operate the parking brake unless you unassign them from the Bravo. If I unbind the parking brake, I can use the mouse to operate it properly. On your though it was a bad switch, I bound the pitot heat to it and it doesn't work... so looks like a bad switch. January 23, 20233 yr Not a bad switch (most likely). If you are using the rocker (assuming you are), I mapped the parking brake to #35 (first rocker in the off position). That way, when the flight starts, the parking brake is on and you move the switch to ON to release it. Using #34 will set the emergency brake off if the rocker is in the OFF position. Hope that helps.
