Renaming and adding a module in P3Dv4.5

Featured Replies

Hello

I have been using LINDA for many years and I am very happy with its functions!  Now I want to rename the LINDA modules and add 1 new one based on an existing module and I need your help.

I am running the following programs:

P3Dv4.5

FSUIPC6

LINDA 3.3.5

For hardware I have a MSFFB stick, TPR pedals, 2 Saitek Switch panels, 1 Saitek radio panel and 8 USB control boards.

I have the following modules installed and renamed and all control settings are working fine:

Original name                          New name

FSX Default                           FSX Default

A2A Cessna 172R                  A2A C-172

A2A P40 AVG                       A2A P-40

A2A_T6_Texan                      A2A T-6

WoP3_P51D                           A2A P-51D MIL

I fly both the A2A MIL and CIV planes.  I want to create a separate module named A2A P-51D CIV based on the A2A P-51D MIL since some buttons are different in the planes. Also the MIL uses 1 switch panel and the CIV uses 2 switch panels.

I created a new module named A2A P-51D CIV and copied all of the A2A P-51D MIL folders into the CIV folder. When I select the MIL plane in P3D the CIV module is activated.  I looked for a file that links a module to a particular plane but cannot figure out what to change.

Would you please help me get this configuration set up?

Thank you

Ed

Check the "ident.lua" file, and change the simfolder location.

Hi Masterius

Thanks!  I had changed the ident file but I had the wrong file name.  Made that change and the CIV and MIL now link as they should.

Take care

Ed
