Helipad not selectable as departure/destination

Featured Replies

Although I see helipads in LNM with an 'H', I cannot select them for departure or destination, only as userpoints.
These are all add-on airports with helipad.
They work perfectly within MSFS flight selection.
The imported .pln into MSFS is garbage and sends me, instead of my departure 'userpoint', half-way around the world to another airport.
If I then, in MSFS having loaded the .pln, I select departure and destination helipads manually, Lo&Behold, my intermediate waypoints all show up and I have a perfect flight plan.
I agree that LNM does warn me that the departure/destination, being userpoints, may cause MSFS flight plan to be unusable.
MSFS accepts these helipads as dep/dest, LNM sees them on its map, but as I said, only as userpoints, not airports (with helipad).
One thing that could cause the issue is that the airport+helipads do not have any runways defined, as there aren't any...
Might there be a way to avoid this manipulation in LNM/MSFS?
Thanks for any insights.

MSFS is fairly good at turning flight plans into garbage.🙃 Quite often it cannot read its own plans.🤦‍♂️

The helipads have no start position attached which is an internal structure that allows to identify this thing for a flight plan start. I'll see how to work around this but not for the next releases.
