July 28, 200718 yr If I add some .bgl files for various FSX stock airports to make AI traffic more realistic (I used to call them "AFCAD files, but I think that's the name of the appplication that generates them?). Do I need to delete an FSX stock .bgl file to enable a new one to work OK? Where do I find these .bgl files to delete? Thanks, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
July 28, 200718 yr The unofficial term for FSX airport files is AFX.As long as the BGL files for the new airports are at a higher scenery priority than the default files, they will take precedence. For default files that contain airport data, these files generally contain more than one airport's data. Trying to disable them would have many side effects, other than allowing a newly added file to display properly. Think "messing up AI for a big area"!As with any scenery work, the quality will vary, so be forewarned about any glitches a new AFX file may present.
