The GTN750 not connecting with the AP or GPS1000

Recommended Posts

When setting a flight plan using the GTN 750 it does not work together/connecting with the G1000 and/or the Auto Pilot.

Which version of X-Plane?

I am using X-Plane 11 and Reality XP's GTN750 and flying the Cirrus SF50 Jet.  I can create a flight plan using the GTN750, and it passes it on to the G-1000 for the most part.  One issue I have is that when entering an approach with the GTN750, is that the vertical navigation does not transfer to the G1000.  When you intercept the glide path for a RNAV approach, the AP trips off, and the glide path is lost.  The work around for this for me is you also have to enter the desired approach in the G-1000.  Then vertical nav works fine.  My hunch is there is a bug when transferring the flight plan with approach to the G-1000 or AP system.

Also review the settings for the GTN750.  Under Reality XP GTN 750, make sure Master Device is selected.  And under Settings, make sure Connect GPS to Autopilot is selected, and GPS Source is set to GPS1.  Others have reported it does not work if Auto is selected for GPS Source.

I hope this helps.

Doug
