August 12, 200718 yr I have been able to edit the external soundai's of all jets and now enjoying the almost realistic environment of my airport. The only problem I am facing is the viewpoint limitation. Earlier versions used to have a movable tower but here there are so many restrictions that I am unable to move to my favorite location and look around. Did a temporary fix by editing the ai camera setting in camera.cfg and then selecting an ai took me to a tower like view at my cockpit location, locked to the ai plane. But I am only partially satisfied with it as it is impossible to figure out from the tail no the plane coming to land or taking off. The best mode I find is the virtual cockpit free pan view with mouse control. The only drawback is that it plays internal sounds and not the outside ones for the simulator. Any one has any idea how to make fsx play external viewpoint sounds in the VC? Or some better way to do plane spotting?
August 12, 200718 yr Have you tried the multiplayer tower controller mode hack for single player?http://informationmike.spaces.live.com/?_c...artqs=cat%3dATCHey Phil Taylor, how about making tower controller mode a regular feature for Single Player mode for SP2?Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180 Tom Perry
August 12, 200718 yr real cool, and simple.but I am more interested about going near the runway threshold and have some real flyby landing views, panning freely like realworld. If somebody is able to force exterior sounds in VC mode, it will be even better.
August 12, 200718 yr Check out the SDK for the cameras. I was trying to figure out how to combine wheelcam and a camera view that would allow me to walk around the tarmac and look at parked planes and other objects without having to drag my plane around (but I haven't been successful yet), but I was able to create a "tower" view at any location I wanted with the ability to pan like you say.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180 Tom Perry
