January 19, 20233 yr Hello all, I’m interesting in creating some specific aircraft panels for use in Air Manager. I don’t have the expertise but I’m definitely willing to contract some help. If his is something you’re interested in please contact me, or if you have a good lead on where to look please let me know. Thanks very much!!
January 20, 20233 yr Are there any specific aircraft in particular that you are looking to create instruments and/or panels for? There may be some already available in Air Manager's community library. You can find lots of instruments and panels that have already been created and shared over on Sim Innovation's support forum. Look specifically in the Instrument Building Support section: https://siminnovations.com/forums/ Additionally, the Sim Innovations wiki has excellent examples (for all sims) in the API documentation. Additionally, you could check out the Air Man Discord. It's fairly low traffic but the owner is an incredibly helpful person. https://discord.gg/UpEPd7J8 I hesitate to mention this last one here but there's also a group that calls themselves SImstrumentation (https://github.com/Simstrumentation/Air-Manager). They specialize in making instruments for aircraft in MSFS so if you're looking for instruments or help with X-Plane, they won't be much of a resource but they are a friendly bunch so their Discord is worth checking out if you also fly in MSFS. Another way to learn would be to look at some of the existing instruments that have been shared by the community members. Find one that is close to what you want, import it into Air Manager and look at the underlying code (on the Create/Edit page). You can see the underlying code and the datarefs and commands that it is linked to.
