Upgradeing my system

Recommended Posts

Hi.I'm in the process of upgradeing my system and moving over to Windows Vista Home Basic. I'm going to upgrade the graphics card/video card/sound card and put in a faster hard drive. My main question is this. I don't want to lose what I've already got/done to my FSX, i.e completed missions, saved flights etc. The thought of having to go back and get everything I've got and re-fly everything brings thoughts of jumping without a parachute to mind.Is it possible to move FSX over from the existing hard drive onto the new one and having Vista see it and allow it to run? If that is not possible, can I leave it where it is and still have Vista allow it to run?I've never attempted to do this before, so any imput/pros/cons and advice/help would be great. I do plan to have a computer tech/pro/professional do this stuff so I would like to be well informed before hand. Thanks to all who see this post.Ernest
