how do i sign up for these recommended downloads for vista through email? cause i just searched for updates through control panel, and it says nothing new is avaible.thanks

I think the line that got folks was this:"I see the white crests of the waves gurgling in the middle of the bay ..."He's just seeing the "crashing wave" effect on the shoreline ... not volumetric oceans with "whitecaps" ala the Magic Screenies. (See his screenshot ... where the cresting wave effect is showing.)It's highly likely (in fact, I don't see how it could be any other way) that he did not run dxdiag to verify what version of Direct X he was using.But boy! ... for a minute there! Got the old blood pumpin eh guys?
