April 28, 20233 yr New here and not an experienced MSFS user. Learned through internet about this fantastic program Little Navmap. Way beyond me I thought, until I saw the possibility to show my plane on this map when flying. That would be my dream come true. So I downloaded and installed Little Navmap 2.8.10 Have a fairly new computer using Win 11 And have MSFS 2020 When I in Little Navmap go to tools/connect to the flight simulator, I get in red a warning saying: Simconnect not found. Your Little Navmap installation is missing the file 'Simconnect.dll' And I cannot make this connection. I have checked that Simconnect.dll really is in the installed directory. Is there a hope for me?

Then you probably have to install the Windows redistributable packages which are linked here in the FAQ: https://albar965.github.io/littlenavmap-faq.html#no-simconnect This usually happens with new Windows installations since a lot of programs need these packages installed. On a fresh system they are often missing. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
April 28, 20233 yr Author WOW! Done and tested. My hat off for your knowledge and help! My hat off for your wonderful program! It was so fun having my plane shown on this map when flying. Have missed that a lot. A year or so (maybe more) a person came up with a way to put the plane on a bing map. It was something about a site one had to click called localhost where my correct IPaddress had to be set up ... something Idontknow. It worked then, not now. Guess it was due to lack of update. Your program is even better for this due to so much info I have on the map. I am impressed and will love to fly a bit more again. And now a wish for future: Back then one could scroll to anywhere on the map and right-click. Then one got the option to be 'teleported' to that place. I could for instance take off at ENEV (North of Norway where I live), click a place in America on the map and in an instant continue flying there. Would this be possible or a great idea for future updates of your program? Hope so, it was such an easy way to explore the world. A lot regards and thanks from Ketil!
April 28, 20233 yr Hi Ketil thank you for the kind words.🙂 Have a look at the tutorials which are linked in the LNM help menu if you're new to the program. About teleporting: Sorry, not soon. This has lower priority for me since there are already other (warp)tools which can do this. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
April 28, 20233 yr Author Ok - and thank you! Is it legal to name them so I can find them 'out there'?
April 28, 20233 yr Sorry, have no links at hand. For X-Plane is a warp tool and you can more an aircraft on the stock map. MSFS has a slew mode to move the aircraft quickly. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
