Vatsim traffic not always visible on map

Featured Replies

Hello.

Been using LNM for many years without issue, but recently I'm finding when on Vatsim or JoinFS, other traffic is not always visible.  By that I mean I can be flying with others in a group flight, and we are all on my map, but a few minutes later, some or all of the other traffic no longer appears.  I'm on version 2.8.10, MSFS and vPilot or JoinFS.     I downloaded the maplayers.xml file and all traffic appears on the ground as you would expect.   When I remove it, traffic on the ground SOMETIMES appears ?    However, when I start LNM, the other traffic appears on the may initially, but then disappears after a second or two.   I'm also finding airborne traffic in MSFS also a bit variable, so it could be an MSFS issue.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Andrew

Sorry, I'm afraid I cannot help with this. Too many variables (i.e. unstable and unreliable software like MSFS or others) at play. I guess the traffic injector does not set the on-ground flag reliably which cause the sometimes visible ground traffic.

Thanks Alex.    I suspect the issue is with MSFS and not LNM as the same thing is happening when airborne in the cruise, ie traffic sometimes on LNM and in the sim, but minutes later some or all of the traffic is no longer visible.
