Combat flight Simulator WW2 Joystick not working

Featured Replies

Hi

Have installed on windows 11 my disk and the program works with the keyboard. However although I calibrated my Saltek ST290 pro joystick it does not work in play mode. Every time I go to settings it tells me my joystick has switched to another symbol and recommends I save that?

Any advice to use the joystick would be appreciated?

I hope I have posted in the right forum?

Thanks

If it recommends that you save it than you should try clicking yes and see what happens.  It seems to just be asking to reset the control assignments to default so you may have to reassign any controls you want to change.  What may have happened is the ID address for your joystick given by Windows may have changed.  That can happen if you unplug a joystick for a while and plug it back in, in some games, this requires you to set up your joystick controls again.

Just another piece of advice, you should take screenshots instead of using a camera and pointing it at the screen.  This makes the image you are trying to show much higher quality and it's easier to look at and understand that way.  You can take screenshots by pressing Windows key + Print Screen key.  The screenshot is automatically saved to your Pictures folder when you do this.  You can also take a screenshot of a single window by first clicking on the window to make sure it's active, then press Alt + Print Screen, open Paint, paste the image into it (Ctrl + V), then save the image as either a .png file or a .jpg file.
