Game controller steering wheel - option for nose tiller?

Greetings all,

I am considering purchasing a cheap game controller steering wheel for use a nose wheel steering tiller for use on PMDG, ZIBO...anything that uses a tiller for nose steering.  

First...is this a viable option?

Second...any recommendation for good controller on the "cheap"?
