When I run the game I get the following error
  

ERROR - FS9

Flight Simulator cannot run because the version of Microsoft DirectX installed on your computer is incompatible. Please reinstall DirextX 9.0 by running Flight Simulator Setup, or download current version from <microsoft>.

I have tried installing installing dx9 from the microsoft website and the Redist folder, but it still didn't work. Could it have something with the installer not working?

Which windows are you using. Are you using the 4 disk FS9. Have to have more information. Where did you install it on your pc.
