Reinstalling FS2020 to another drive

Recommended Posts

Hi All.

I currently have a new setup with only a C:\ 256 Gb ssd drive.
IF I install FS2020 from my DVDs on C:\, I will use my code in the Microsoft store.

1 - What happens IF I want to move FS2020 to say d:\

  • should I uninstall it and reinstall it to D:\ (What happens to the code then ?)
  • CAN/should I move it from C:\ to d:\ ? (What happens to the code then ?)

2 - Can I uninstall and re install on a new setup? (What happens to the code then ?)

Thanks
Phil
Setup : Win10 Pro, RTX 3090, 16 Gb RAM, I7

You can move the MSFS app, or uninstall and reinstall MSFS.

The "move" option should be the simplest.. Search for Apps in Windows, select MSFS, and then choose Move.

As long as you sign on with the same MS account, your "code" will still be valid.
