November 28, 20232 yr Hi! I have been thinking that a second map tab could be of use. In that way one could have a map showing the whole flight plan (not moving) and the second one showing a close up view of the current leg, the arrival airport or whatever is of use. Would that be possible? Thanks! Edited November 28, 20232 yr by husker_dingo
November 28, 20232 yr I have this in mind for a future version (maybe kind of an inlet like in the G1000). But no promises except that it will not happen soon. For now you can use the LNM web server (https://www.littlenavmap.org/manuals/littlenavmap/release/latest/en/WEBSERVER.html) and even show the map on a smartphone or a tablet. Alex Maybe allowing a second instance of LNM runing simultaneously could be a temporary solution. Would taht be possible? Thanks

Thanks You can but this will open like a completely new installation: https://www.littlenavmap.org/manuals/littlenavmap/release/latest/en/INSTALLATION.html#portable-execution You need the Zip downloads for this. Running two LNM simultaneously on the same settings and databases will crash. I'd prefer the web-server solution. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap

So, in order to avoid the crash I should install a new NLM (namely "NLM2") from the ZIP in a different folder, load/create a database as I do for LNM1 (I guess both databases can have the same content as the installed scenery in MSFS will be the same) and tweak the settings (probably only showing the map tab most likely with a different theme)... I might try that

Instead it brings the other instance to front. 11 hours ago, husker_dingo said: NLM (namely "NLM2") from the ZIP in a different folder, load/create a database as I do for LNM1 (I guess both databases can have the same content as the installed scenery in MSFS will be the same) and tweak the settings (probably only showing the map tab most likely with a different theme)... I might try that Yup. This is the procedure. Using the web-server is easier. "Tools" -> "Run webserver" and then "Tools" -> "Open webserver page in browser" gives you a second view too.
