Aerodesigns A340-300 Pushback Problem

Featured Replies

The Aerodesigns A340 was one of my favourite aircraft, in FS9. With one exception it works well in FSX. The exception is that it refuses to push back. Trying this, either via the listed keystrokes or addon gauges, produces the message" This aircraft cannot be moved by tug".I've swapped Panel folders with an aircraft that pushes OK but no change. Can't see anything to affect it in the Aircraft.cfg file. Any suggestions please?BTW there seems to be no website that I can find, for Aerodesigns.

I have worked on an A340-300 and an A340-600 with the FeelThere team (the aircraft is sold by Wilco Publishing) and I experienced the same problem. It is caused by this center additional landing gear (the "belly" gear). FSX believes this belly gear should be used for pushback, and it is located in the middle of the aircraft. FSX makes a confusion between the belly gear and the nose wheel. The solution: In aircraft.cfg, modify the [contact_point] section so that the nose wheel is point.0. You may have to exchange 2 lines and change the contact point numbering accordingly. Very easy...I did it for the Wilco A340-300 and -600 and it works perfect.Eric
