GPU does not see connected projectors in standby

Featured Replies

So I got a new RTX4080 and connected my 3 projectors, as before: 1xHDMI, 2x DP (where I use a DP->HDMI adapter)

Now, when I start the PC, only the primary display is being recogniced. Only after turning the projectors on, all 3 displays are recogniced in Windows.

With my old GPU, all 3 displays have been identified also in off state.

I checked, if it has sth to do with the DP ports, But also after connecting one of the other projectors to the 2nd HDMI port, it is not recogniced on start up.

Hope, someone can help!

Thx,

Michael

I found a workaround:

This little piece of hardware called EDID emulator let's the GPU believe, there is a display connected and powered on.

Working well so far. All displays identified in Windows, even if the projectors are off.

Still wondering, why some GPU have an issue with that and others don't.
