Combat Flight Sim WW2 - Thrustmaster HOTAS Throttle issue

Recommended Posts

Hi All

To begin with, apologies if I have missed a previous post. I have searched online and could not find a link to this specific issue and am really hoping that members can offer help / advice.

I have recently installed Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator World War 2 Europe series on my Dell PC. I am running the latest version of Windows 11. I have a Thrustmaster HOTAS throttle, joystick and rudders. They are all calibrated correctly and work perfectly with every other flight sim that I own.

However.... for some unknown reason, Microsoft Combat Flight World War 2 is identifying the throttle as the ailerons which means, when I open the throttle up, the plane spins round. I have tried to change the assignment back to Throttle however, it always reverts back to ailerons !!

I know that CFS2 is over 20 years old but it works perfectly (apart from this issue) under windows 11.

Can anyone help ? Has anyone experienced the same issue ?

Failing that, can anyone point me in the direction of an FAQ that explains the 'CFG file in enough depth to enable me to make a manual change there ?

With grateful thanks for any help that can be given,

All the best

Ed

P.S. I have just tried to attach a .jpg file to this posting to illustrate the issue but have failed to see how I can attach the .jpg image in. The 'Insert Image' option at the bottom right of my screen appears to only accept images from a web-based url. Am I missing something here as well ?
