November 13, 200718 yr Just curious as to what the differences are in the Cessna 172 and Maule.They are both FSX planes and seem to be very similiar.Looks like the Maule has a deeper wing.Have been using both and I like flying the Maule.My only knowledge about airpalnes is what I have learned here and thru FS.Thanks,Ron Bring back Chief Illiniwek!University of Illinois.
November 13, 200718 yr from what i understand, the maule is a STOL aircraft and, as such, excels in bush flying and other hard to reach areas. it has much more power, and has an adjustable prop.the cessna is a more modestly powered aircraft and is easier to learn and fly, which is why it is the most popular trainer in the world.
