November 21, 200718 yr One of my pet peeves in both FS9 and FSX was the fact that if you had airplane shadows turned on, you got a shadow on the ground rain or shine. It could be totally overcast and raining but still that shadow would be there.Since installing Acceleration it's not that way anymore. There is a shadow when there should be, and no shadow when there shouldn't be. It's one of those small things that make the sim better. Has anyone else noticed? Is it something new in Acceleration/SP2?Jim
November 22, 200718 yr I'm not certain, but I swear some of the particular items in mission #1 seem to be different. The space shuttle that was parked (I believe) in RTM is now hoisted up on a crane in a gantry with the 747 situated underneath. Running down the main hangar area there were some groups of Raptors and other aircraft which seem to be missing.I'll reformat at some future time (I'm always tinkering and screwing things up - I should be due in the next quarter, during the winter months I get too much stick time in) and have to run that mission in RTM, SP1, and SP2 Acceleration and determine if it's so, or, if I need to cut back on the vodka martini's. :-lol
November 22, 200718 yr Yes - the aircraft shadows fade with more cloud cover. Not sure of the extent but I have seen it and when there were no shadows, forced weather to clear and had them back. This since installing Acceleration.Phill
