BS TBM850 GTN750 & GNS530 question

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Quick question on the BS TBM850 GPS system.  I've manually entered identical flight plans into the TDS GTN750 & GNS530W, planning to use the GNS530 as a backup along the way.  However, the GNS530W isn't cycling between the waypoints during the flight or during the approach, even after I've activated the approach on both GPS's.

I've got the WT GNS430/530 installed in my content manager and it is showing as up to date.

Is there a bug with this or am I missing something?

Thanks.

The TDS GTN750 is not cross-linked with the Working Title (WT) GNS530. (Nor do they operate separately in parallel.) As far as I know, your experience is what you can expect with this combination.

Also the GNS 530 is effectively disabled when paired with the TDS.  This is an intentional design when using hot swappable avioncs.

I would recommend putting on screen variables on tht gns530 not related to your flight plan (like ground speed etc) and then use the gtn to show FPL related variables.

Or you could put up the traffic page on the GNS for situational awareness.
