Oceanic Center Frequencies

In the Pacific, on a recent trip from Arizona to New Zealand and back, I found that P2A doesn't handle oceanic center frequencies well.  In French Polynesia and around Hawaii, it hands off from local a departure control frequency to a center frequency that doesn't work, often 131.95.  What does work is to return to the previous departure control frequency and although P2A assigned 131.95, just use the previous approach control over open ocean.
