Freezing when I switch applications

I had read someone else once experienced this but no answers were revealed so hoping someone knows a fix.

When in MSFS and loaded up if I switch applications so say a browser, OBS if streaming or sayintentions.ai app it causes the sim to freeze.

The sound is still there but everything stops working. If I then alt ctrl del and then hit escape the sim will load back up like nothing happened.

Any ideas?
