May 8, 20242 yr Moderator @Yosserhughes, yes, it ticks the important boxes. My only reservation would be just 16Gb RAM but if you have a local computer shop they could swap it out for 32Gb. You don’t mention resolution. 1920*1080 would be best but 2560*1440 would also work - just. As with all computers a balance between settings and performance is required. You’ll get lots of help in the MSFS forum here. Ray (Cheshire, England). May 10, 20242 yr Author Thank you very much Ray..Was looking at the following Intel® Core™ i7-14700K processor 64 GB DDR5 RAM 1 TB M.2 SSD NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 - 12 GB Windows 11 Home..What do you reckon?... there is another similar model for roughly same price but the processor is 17 14700f ,32g ram and an rtx 4060 gpu..
May 10, 20242 yr Moderator @Yosserhughes, that’s significantly better. But I need to ask a few questions. 1) What’s your budget? And is it fixed or a little flexible? +/-10%? 2) You haven’t mentioned a monitor. Are you using an existing one? If so, what is the make and model. From that I can work out the resolution which impacts on the most suitable graphics card. You should look at the 4000 series cards. The 3000 are quite old now. You could save a little by going for the i9-13900K which is what I have. Also, 32Gb DDR5 RAM is sufficient. Bit more saved. 😉 3) What motherboard? That is an important part of any good system. May 10, 20242 yr Moderator For a budget of around £2100 I selected these from the Chillblast custom build option. Ray (Cheshire, England). May 10, 20242 yr Author Hi Ray my budget is around 1700 euro, but could stretch a small bit more if needed...I have a monitor already , it is an Asus 27 inch, not too sure of model as it is buried in a unit...It is about 10 yeras old..As the pcs are MSI I am assuming they are msi motherboards but does not say so.. ..I will check out your recommendations and see what comes up...Again thank you for your help. May 11, 20242 yr Moderator Hi @Yosserhughes, okay so we need to compromise somewhere. The case could probably be substituted for a cheaper one. The components i wouldn’t change are the CPU, GPU* and 32Gb DDR5 RAM. Have a chat with Chillblast as they’ll help you towards your budget. But if you can find a bit more money it would guarantee you a PC that would last many years and give you excellent service. * Your monitor is almost certainly 1920*1080 so if you don’t intend going to a higher resolution a 3000 GPU could be a compromise.
