Taog's Huey - weird default controller settings

Featured Replies

Been flying this for a few days now. Set it up the same as all other helos (cyclic axes, collective axis, tail rotor axis, no manual changes to the curves, didn't even look at them.) So I went into the settings yesterday to make sure I had added a tiny dead zone to the cyclic. Discovered there were huge sensitivity changes already there for the cyclic sensitivity (up to 80%) and the rudder pedal sensitivity (50%). Has anyone else seen that? Does anyone know if that's maybe just a normal side effect of them using the updated helicopter SDK?

It's so weird that those should be there with a default install and controller setup. In addition, when loading both the Huey and the 205 from the World Map screen, the CG is consistently way, way out of balance aft, no matter how you change the fuel or payload values.

Then there's the collective behavior. If you pull enough power to get into a low hover, the helicopter just wants to keep settling back to the ground even if you add power. It's not something I'm used to seeing. Maybe any RW Huey pilots out there can weigh in on all this.
