Columbia River missing!!!

Featured Replies

When I flew out of Astoria (KAST) today the Columbia River is missing.I just installed FSX Acceleration a couple of days ago. I also have Ultimate Terrain for FSX. Did not have this problem until I installed Acceleration. Could that be the problem? Also I have noticed that some of my scenery I have installed (Jersey Island) and some scenery I have created with Instant Scenery show black boxes around the trees (Gerrish Greys Tree Library?). Please see the attached screenshot and let know what you think. Thanks,Kevin

Well after digging around in the forums for an hour or so I came across a post about Flight One having a patch for Acceleration. Flight One said that the only anomaly was in the Florida Keys but I found one at the mouth of the Columbia. I downloaded their patch and lo and behold it fixed my problem. If you have Acceleration and Ultimate Terrain X I suggest downloading their patch. It worked for me.If the forum moderator wants to delete this thread, go ahead. Thanks, Kevin

Installing SP2 or Acceleration will overwite the TERRAIN.CFG file that holds data for products like Ultimate Terrain, Vancouver+ and the freeware Victoria+. Running the setup utility for UT/X will restore the entries it needs to be present in TERRAIN.CFG. Vancouver+ and Victoria+ also need to be dealt with, so that their entries get added back and their features shown.
