Control Axis Bewilderment ??!!??

Recommended Posts

When I go into Settings/Controls/Control Axes ... I find that I only have X (ailerons)and Y (elevator) axes operating... My Saitek Contol Yoke manual says I should find a Rx and Ry axis. Why don't I see these? Are these (Rx and Ry) in the panel somewhere but I can't find them? When I select my Logitec Freedom joystick, there is a "Z Rotation" axis is assigned to the rudder, which I assume is for the twist handle. Does the "R" stand for the "R" in "Rx"? If this is a function only of the Saitek software... possibly I'm out of order asing this question on this forum. But I'm confused becuase it looks like the control axes ought to be options within FSX.Possibly someone using the Saitek controller can help me with this.If the moderator wants to throw this into the hardware forum, then my mistake, sorry. Thanks,Steve

Allow me to confess my ignorance here. Duh!! I haven't ever mapped buttons or axes before... so if there is anyone else doing this for the first time... it is a matter of physically moving the levers when the "change assignment" dialog box is open. Its too simple. Everything works fine now. Thanks to Sargeski for turning the light on for me.Happy New Year All!
