September 21, 20241 yr Hi, I've been using measurement lines as a sort of visual logbook of my flights in msfs 2020. Now that MSFS 2024 is about to be released I'd like to restart in a blank map, but I don't want to discard my 2020 logbook. Where are the measurement lines stored? I'd like to archive them just in case I wanted to review my MSFS 2020 flights. Thanks in advance, *******
September 21, 20241 yr Measurement lines are stored in the settings .ini file. Why not use the logbook in LNM? It stores all flights including paths and more information. Filter by aircraft type, select all and you see all flights like this: Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
September 21, 20241 yr To be more precise: The measurement lines are currently saved in the file "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\ABarthel\little_navmap.ini" in section "[Map]" in key "DistanceMarkers1". The line can be quite long and contains a lot of encoded gibberish: ... [Map] ... DistanceMarkers1=@Variant(\0\0\0\x7f\0\0\0\x1bQList<map::DistanceMarker>\0\0\0\0\x2\xff\xff\xff\xff\0\xff\xff\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\xc0\xfe\xc3\x80\x42\x14\x1c)\0\0\0\0\xc0\xff\x61\xb4\x42\x14\ac\0\0\0\0\xbfxf@\0\0\0\0\xff\xff\xff\xff\0\xff\xff\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\xc0\xff\x37\x84\x42\x14\x1cq\0\0\0\0\xc0\xfe\xc1\x64\x42\x14\x6 \0\0\0\0\xbfw]\xe9\0\0\0\0) ... September 22, 20241 yr Author Thank you very much! In fact I was already using it and the "Create logbook entries" is activated, But I had discarded it because I didn't know how to visualize those entries in the map 😳 Now I see that is a nice feature, I'll use it in 2024 instead of the measurement lines. Anyway is good to know where the measurement lines are stored. I'll archive them on November 18th... Thanks, *******
