help with FSX SP1 and saved games

Featured Replies

Hi everyoneI hope I'm posting this in the right place, and hope that someone can help me ...Have never played FS myself (I know, what's wrong with me?!) but am trying to help my Dad who's having trouble getting his FSX to run his saved games, logbook and granted rewards files after successfully installing SP1.Can anyone help please? He saved all the necessary files as specified here:http://www.fsinsider.com/tips/Pages/...stallIt .aspxand loaded SP1 just fine after some trouble but now the game won't load if he tries replacing his logbook etc. It'll run fine without them, but then he has to start over.I've tried finding a list of all the files you need to keep your saved games just to be sure he has everything, but can't seem to find one conclusive list or any sites with a good step by step help with this. Please please help! Would appreciate even links to point me in the right direction as I'm flying a little blind right now ;)Thanks!

Make a copy of the original logbook and save it somewhere. Delete it and let FSX make a new one. You can get logbook repair/edit program here or send me the logbook file and I can fix it manually. When the logbook is fixed and you delete the rewards file FSX will rebuild a new one minus any rewards for missions. Only free flight.Your saved flights and whatnot are in My DocumentsFlight Simulator X Files.
