Is it just me or is the engines sounds only best heard in 'surround sound? I don't have it, just three speakers in stereo.The sounds in FS9 were awesome IMO and in comparison, better. Please don't flame me as this is just an enquiry for opinions?

There is nothing like being surrounded in a 5.1 system with FS9 OR FSX. It defintely puts you in a pilot's seat for realism. Even the environment around the plane comes from the exact speaker with reference to WHERE the object is. Try it. I found that Logitech makes the best 5.1's with their awesome subwoofers (a must).
